Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Shadow Paths, LLC d/b/a Pay2Win Quest(“we,” “us”), operator of Pay2Win.quest, collects, uses, and protects your information.
2.1 Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, username/display name. Authentication is provided by Clerk; we do not receive or store your account password.
- Payment information:processed entirely by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for the Site’s transactions. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction metadata (amount, item purchased, date) — we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Usage data: general traffic and usage patterns (e.g. pages visited) collected through analytics tools, for site performance and product improvement. This data is aggregate/statistical in nature, not used to individually track you across other websites, and not sold to third parties.
- Content you provide: character sheet customizations, display name, and any profile content you choose to set.
- Marketing email preference: if you opt in, we use Resend to send occasional emails (for example, Quarterly Earnings Report notifications). You can withdraw consent at any time from your account settings or via the unsubscribe link in any such email — this does not affect transactional emails (e.g. purchase receipts), which Stripe sends directly as the payment processor.
2.2 How We Use Information
- To operate your account and process purchases
- To display your public profile and leaderboard rank as intended by the Site’s design
- To improve the Site based on aggregate usage patterns
- To communicate with you about your account, purchases, or Site changes
- To send opted-in marketing emails via Resend, if you’ve enabled that preference
2.3 What We Share
- Stripe: merchant of record for all payments on the Site, per their own privacy policy.
- Resend: delivers opted-in marketing emails on our behalf, per their own privacy policy.
- We do not sell personal information to third parties.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
2.4 Public Information
Your display name, avatar, equipped cosmetics, and VP/leaderboard rank are public by design — this is core to how the Site works. Do not use identifying information as your display name if you’d prefer it not be public.
2.5 Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see 2.7).
2.6 Children's Privacy
Pay2Win.quest is intended only for adults aged 18 and older, consistent with our Terms of Service §1.1. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us at support@pay2win.quest for removal.
2.7 Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@pay2win.quest. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR.
2.8 Cookies
The Site uses cookies/similar technologies for authentication and general site analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
2.9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated effective date.
